Jane Sengpiehl Obituary

Jane K. Sengpiehl Jane K. Sengpiehl, 75, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on June 30, 2018. Visitation will be 12-1pm on Friday, July 6, with the funeral service at 1pm at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas. Burial will be immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption. Jane was born August 9, 1942 in Parsons Kansas. She graduated from Emporia State with a degree in education and settled in Overland Park raising two daughters. Jane spent much of her life teaching in schools as well as swim lessons at her home. She loved swimming, music, dancing, and was a gifted shopper. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Evelyn Sengpiehl, and daughter Julie Rutz. She is survived by daughter Laurie Davis, granddaughters Avery and Melia, and brother Dick Sengpiehl (Mary Ann). Additional survivors include her special soul sisters and her beloved dog Libby.
