Raytown, Missouri - John Max Haight, Jr., M.D. passed away June 6 at his home is Los Angeles, CA. at age 73.
He was born on his father's birthday, January 7, 1948, to Elsie Lowell & Dr. J. Max Haight, Sr.. He graduated from Raytown High School 1965, University of Kansas 1969, University of Kansas Hospital, & University of Medicine Graduate 1977 with 44 years of experience in General Surgery & Plastic Surgery in Santa Monica. He retired from the State of California Medical Services 2020. He was a long term member of First Lutheran Church of Venice serving as usher. He was strongly associated with Boy Scout activities & provided medical services.
He was predeceased by his two sons Dakota Max Haight & Arizona Christian Haight.
He is survived by his sister Jean Haight Anderson (John), sister Judy Harter, niece Jenn (Carl) Dopson, aunt Betty (Bill) Alburty, cousins David (Carol), Steve, Joe, uncle Norris Haight, cousins Karyn; Kathy (Joe) Pelka, Ryan; David (Susan), Benjamin, Jenna; the Peterson cousins Judy Helme, Mike (Lisa), & Lynn Thompson.
He was cremated by Valley Funeral Home, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606 & buried at Floral Hills, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd,. Kansas City, MO, 64133. near his parents' graves.

John and I were both trombone players in the band and the orchestra. It was a highlight for me to see him at the 50th Reunion. He is a great loss for our class.

I am so sorry that John has joined other classmates in death. I knew he was very intelligent, but was unaware of his medical career. We had a great RHS `65 class, many who have very successful. My condolences to his family and close friends.
