Gardner, Kansas - John Thomas McClain (91) born 8/30/31, KCK, died @ home, Gardner, KS 1/8/23. A '49 Bishop Ward grad & served in the USAF. Married to Camillia Manczuk in '58; had 7 children. Earned an Elect Eng degree in '58 & owned J T McClain Elect Co & Santa's Forest of Honey Creek Xmas Tree Farm. Spent 30+ yrs in sales for MO Valley Elect Co. Divorced in '94, he married Billie in '96. Preceded in death by infant daughter Monica, parents Fred & Marie (Hurla), siblings Herb, Fred, infant sister Rita, & Sr. Joanilla (Helen). Mourned by children: Gloria E. McClain Padgett, Eilleen Bastien (James), Robert (Tere), Camille Knopps (Anthony), Shawn (Paula), & Esther McClain, 13 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren; wife Billie, stepson Russ Wilkerson; siblings: Harold (Joan), Margaret Baker, Mike (Dorothy), & Bob (Ginny). Memorial was 1/17/23 @ the Divine Mercy Cath Church, Gardner, KS.

Was not aware of John' passing until today
I went to grade school and high school with John and graduated with him from Ward in 1949. Prayers for him an family.
