John Peele Obituary
November 8, 1942 - May 7, 2023
Mission, Kansas - John Peele, of Mission, Kansas passed away on May 7, 2023 from complications of Parkinson's Disease.
John was born on November 8, 1942 in Peoria, IL, to Robert and Anne Peele. He graduated from Grinnell College in 1964, and from Washburn University in 1966 with a degree in Economics. He joined Hallmark Cards in 1968. In 1988, he started the Asbestos Cooperative Exchange, a member-owned cooperative for abatement contractors that remove hazardous materials. In 1997, he started and ran ABCO Supply until 2018 when he retired.
John was preceeded in death by his parents and his son, Jonathan. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Wade), his daughter Erin George of Olathe, KS, granddaughters Amanda and Madelyne George, his sister Errett (Jack) Schmid of Mission Hills KS, and their sons John and Chris.
John was an avid sportsman, playing many sports into his 70s.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: The Michael J Fox PD Foundation, the Parkinson's Exercise and Wellness Center, or the Kansas City Hospice House.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity on the Plaza, on July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am.
