John L. Steele, of Leavenworth, KS, passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the age of 60. John was born the son of Harry and Delores Steele on February 10, 1954 in Kansas City, KS. John was a part owner and partner of KC Sign Express in Overland Park, KS. Survivors include his beloved wife, Debbie Steele; daughter, Michelle Brandes; step-sons, Gene Madden, Shaun Madden and his wife Emily, Joshua Mentzer; step-daughters, Crisha Warren and her husband Michael, Amee Small and her husband Keith, Kristy Gates and her husband Adam; mother, Delores Steele; brother, Daryl W. Steele and his wife Patricia; 11 grandchildren; 1 great- grandchild and a loving extended family of friends, colleagues and co- workers. John is preceded in death by his father; and wife, Sonya Steele. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 6-8:00 PM and a funeral service on Saturday, January 31 at 2:00 PM both being held at the Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, KS.
