Katherine Crosby Obituary

Katherine Francis Meyer Crosby (KT)

September 1, 1938 - October 4, 2025

Richardson, Texas - Katherine Francis Meyer Crosby (KT) began life in Atchison, Kansas, with parents, Robert and Dora E. Kohler Meyer. Her family moved to a farm in Rock Port, MO, where KT graduated from Rock Port High School. KT attended Lindenwood College where she graduated with honors and continued her education at Peabody University with a Masters degree in the fine arts. She taught at Paseo High School in Kansas City for 5 years and then transitioned to Central Methodist College as head of the art department for several years.

KT had a son, Aaron Kerfoot, and was married to Floyd Kerfoot. Years after Floyd's death, KT married Marvin Crosby, and they continued to live in the Overland Park area until such time as Marvin passed.

KT had several passions in her life: love for God and a strong, unwavering faith; love for family and friends; love for art and music. She was also an avid sports fan and watched tennis well into the wee hours of the morning.

She is survived by her brother, Robert W. Meyer and wife, Marcia of Kansas City, MO; brother, Donald E. Meyer and wife, Sharon of Rock Port, MO; Maria Kerfoot, daughter-in-law, of Cape Fare, MO; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will take place at The Amos Family Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 (visitation) / 2:30 (service). Amos is located at 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.
