I am sorry to hear you all lost another parent. Uncle Larry was a good man, and made Aunt Katie a happy woman. My sympathy to you and your family I had no clue he was gone, sorry I was not there for you as you was there for me when my parents passed. God Bless you all.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy and appreciation for Mr. Larry more then words could every say. Mr. Larry gave me a helping hand and took a chance on me when my life was crumbling. The kindness that he showed me made me a believer again in the notion that there are still kind people in this world despite what we see around us. My ugly little dog (as Mr. Larry would always say) and I will miss him dearly.

Larry was a one of the kind guy. He never met a stranger and was always present when a family member (or friend, I'm sure)was ill or had a funeral. He will be missed by everyone. As a cousin slightly older than I, he was always a hoot to be around, always had a kind word, and always asked about your life and children. He will be a gift in heaven.
My sympathy to his entire family.

I am in NY so will be unable to attend the services.

I too remember the surprise visit at our Grandma & Granddad Hochstatter's house!!! Loved hearing all the stories from when Dad, & Larry were young and the trouble they all got into (which by today's standards is pretty mild!!) Dennis, Barry, Dusty and Doug, you have my deepest sympathy, but must feel some comfort knowing your Dad is finally reunited with your Mom in heaven! Love to all the Dahmer family! I remember Larry always joking around at the shop and having fun, usually at your exspense, A trait his son Barry seemed to copy the most. Most of all I remember his kindness and hard work ethics that he passed along to all four of his sons. The boys were a blessing to me and my family during a transition time in our lives offering freindship and a job during a time when I didnt really know what to do.all four boys treated me like family and taught me new skills that supported my family. This family will always be held dear to my heart.

Larry was larger than life. I remember a 'surprise' visit at Grandma and Grandad's house. He did not knock on the door, but shook the hole house with his fist and a huge grin on his face when that door was opened. That night I got hear about all the trouble Larry got my Dad into (haha) in their youger days. Heaven will never be the same and I hope he looks up mom after he meets up with Katie.

Larry was the best friend and partner a person could ever hope for. I love him dearly and will miss him greatly. I'm sorry I won't be able to leave Mesa, Az. to be at his funeral because of health issues my wife Lona is going through at this time. My prayers are with his family and I know the Angels were honored to escort Larry home to his Loving God in heaven.
