Lawrence Gene Lampton

January 28, 1949 - April 14, 2025

Lee's Summit, Missouri - On Monday, April 14, Lawrence "Larry" Gene Lampton, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 76.

Born in Kansas City on January 28, 1949, to Elmo and Blanche Lampton, Larry grew up in Independence, graduating from Van Horn High School and UMKC. He built a successful career in telecommunication sales. Those who knew him will remember his lovable, goofy, and sometimes grumpy demeanor that endeared him to family and friends alike.

Larry is survived by his wife Mary, his daughters Kim Kueser (Jason) and Jill Caracci (Anthony), grandchildren Julian, Carson Lawrence, John, Alessandra and Michael Lawrence, brother John (Sharon), twin brother Terry (Stephanie), and many nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 State Route 150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082 on Friday, April 25. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Jackson County CASA or the Bishop Sullivan Center.

I remember playing "Cowboys and Indians" with Larry and his brother Terry some summers on the Arther Lampton farm. They were into baseball (Kansas City Athletics) which i knew nothing about.

Mary, Kim and Jill. I am so very sorry for your loss. I still remember Larry teaching me how to throw a frisbee so I could play frisbee golf on our street with him, and using items that hung from houses (like gutters) as a hole.
