Lawrence Rader Obituary

Lawrence L. Rader, 86, a lifelong resident of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, January 6, 2003, at Rosewood Health Center. A gathering of family and friends will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, January 10, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Lawrence was born January 23, 1916 in Independence, MO, to Thomas Rader and Sarah Hamilton Rader. He was Assistant Director of Building Inspection of the Kansas City School District for 23 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Kansas City School Administrators Association, a lifetime member of the Sheffield Masonic Lodge, and a lifetime member of the Community of Christ; attending the Bennington Heights, Ridgewood and Stone Church congregations. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Lois B. Rader; brothers, Clint and Herbert Rader; sisters, Ruth Maupin, Sylvia Burrus and Millie Mapes. He is survived by his children, Burris L. Rader of Eldorado Springs, MO, Linda K. Adams of Kansas City, MO and David L. Rader of Blue Springs, MO; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Diether of Kansas City, MO. (Arrangements: Speaks Suburban Chapel)
