Lois Heriford Obituary

Lois Heriford, 79, of Kansas City, MO, passed away November 18, 2002, at St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 22, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel Funeral Home. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone, MO. Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, November 21, at the chapel. Mrs. Heriford was born in Laredo, MO. She and her husband, Bill Heriford, were the owner and operators of the Heriford Grill on Independence Ave. for 51 years. While operating the restaurant, Mrs. Heriford never closed the doors and always prepared Thanksgiving dinner for her "regulars." She enjoyed trout fishing and was always supportive of her family. She is survived by her husband, Bill Heriford of the home; son, Richard Heriford of New Buffalo, MI; daughters, Judy Heriford of Independence, MO and Frances Anderson of Trenton, MO; stepdaughter, Pamela Huskey of Sweet Water, TN; brothers, Kenneth Grimes of Warsaw, MO and Eugene Grimes of East Moline, IL; sisters, Mary Herrin of Trenton, MO and Darlene Arnold of Gladstone, MO; grandchildren, Jerome Griffith, Rusty Griffith, Tony Griffith, Shannon Thomas, Lara Gresham, Rhonda Einishon, Tonya Sayers and Julie Blackburn. Mrs. Heriford was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nettie Moore Grimes and her sisters, Gaile Rohndanz and Virginia Westwood. (Arrangements: D.W.
