Kansas City , Missouri - Louise Ann Williams, 94, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024.

She was born in Minneapolis, MN to Eugene and Marcella Dougherty on November 25th, 1930. Louise spent the majority of her life living in the Kansas City area, graduating from St Theresa's High School in 1948. She married Donald R Williams on April 26th, 1952. They welcomed two sons: Stephen in 1955 and Brian in 1957.

Louise had many passionate career endeavors, most revolving around her love and talent for the arts. She was a volunteer art instructor at Rockhurst High School, a designer at Hallmark and Russell Stovers, docent emeritus at the Nelson Atkin's Museum of Art, and ran an antique booth in Prairie Village.

Louise had many additional hobbies, including cooking, golf and traveling the world. She was known for making extravagant meals from scratch for her loved ones. She and Don took many solo adventures around the globe, and also included their sons, daughter in law, and four grand daughters in many memorable trips. In addition, her granddaughters have fond memories of Louise taking them on individual dates to her favorite Kansas City locations.

Louise was proceeded in death by her parents Eugene and Marcella, and brothers Timothy, Dennis and Kevin Dougherty, her husband Don in 2008 and her son Steve in 2016.

She is survived by her two sisters, Sheila Duffy of Colorado and Diane Broome of California, her son Dr. Brian, daughter in law Courtney (Steve's wife), her four granddaughters: Jessica (Joe) Vessell, Jacquelyn (Garrett) Smith, Jennifer (Walker) Baysinger, Jillian (Oswaldo) Herrera, and 8 great-grandchildren: Adrian, Ollie, Hudson Vessell, Brayden, Boone, Lydia Baysinger and Henley, Everett Smith with one more on the way any day.

I have fond memories of Louise as her and Don were close friends of our parents, Paul and Nancy Smith. She was a special woman, kind, interesting , one of a kind person. I will never forget her! My condolences to her family!
