LUCY ELLEN WITTMEYER

Lucy Ellen (Reardon) Wittmeyer, 85, formerly of Platte City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at the Rittenhouse Senior Living in Hoover, Ala. A visitation will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City. A funeral Mass will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Weston, Mo. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Easton, Mo. The family suggests contributions be given to the Julie Wittmeyer Scholarship Fund in cooperation with the Platte County R-III School District. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter Julie Ellen Wittmeyer; her brother James Reardon, and one infant brother. She is survived by her sons John Wittmeyer and wife Susan of Athens, Ga., and Mark Wittmeyer and wife Pamela of Platte City; her daughters Mary Andra and husband Don of Birmingham, Ala., and Jane Wittmeyer of Boise, Idaho; her sister Mary Agnes Connor of Boston, Mass.; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
