Overland Park, Kansas - Margaret "Marty" Marsh Sample, 100, died on October 6, 2023. Marty was born on June 17, 1923, in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Westport High School, Kansas City MO Junior College, and Pittsburg State University. Marty was married to Joe R. Sample for 58 years. He died in 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn, Overland Park, KS, her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Dawn, Windham, ME, and her grandchildren, Allison, Gorham, ME, and Keith, Las Vegas, NV. Marty was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her brother, Dr. John R. Marsh, her sister, Claire Marsh Benelli Barnes, and two nephews, John R. Marsh Jr. and Bill Benelli. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Colonial Church in Prairie Village where Marty was a member for over 60 years.
