Marija Vardijan

Mrs. Marija Vardijan passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at University of Kansas Medical Center. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Kansas City, KS. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Skradski Funeral Home, with the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. John's Church. Marija was born March 31, 1933 to Ivan & Ana Brajkovic in Jesenovica, Croatia, coming to the USA in 1977. She was employed with the Unified Government, retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. John's church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Ivan M. Vardijan. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mirko Vardijan; four children and their spouses, Mirko & Ruzica Vardijan, Edwardsville, KS; Ivan & Ann Vardijan, Kansas City, KS; Frank & Nancy Vardijan, Bonner Springs, KS; Georgia & David LeManske, Kansas City, KS; three brothers, George, Frank and Ivan Brajkovic; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
