Mark Abeln Obituary
September 5, 1960 - November 16, 2021
DeSoto, Kansas - Mark went home to be with his Saviour Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the age of 61 with his wife, daughter and three sons by his side.
Mark was born on September 5, 1960 in St. Louis County, MO to Donald and Darlene (Holtz) Abeln. He received his degree in Architecture from the University of Kansas in 1983 and ultimately opened his own firm. On October 11, 1986 he married Heidi Ann Scheele.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald. He is survived by his mother Darlene, his wife Heidi, and children Makenzie, Brittain, Keaton & (Kayla), and Preston as well as his siblings Mike, Donna, Keith and Deanna.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 11th at Heartland Community Church, 12175 S. Strang Line Rd., Olathe, KS. Visitation will be 10 - 11 a.m. with the family present to greet guests. The Celebration Service begins at 11 a.m. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to The Arbor Day foundation or the International Dyslexia Foundation.

Heartfelt prayers and condolences from both of us. It has been a few years since boating with you on Lake Clinton but I can still remember it well and Mark smiling as he pulled all the kids on the tube.
