Martha Sexton Obituary

Martha H. Sexton, 83, of Lenexa, KS, passed away Friday, May 16, 2003, at St. Joseph Health Center, Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 6306 Roe, Prairie Village, KS, with a reception following. Inurnment will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. Martha was born June 16, 1919 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Nodie and Laveda (Wardrup) Clarkson. She married Don Sexton on June 2, 1939 in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death in June 1986. Martha worked nearly all of her life as a homemaker, staying at home taking care of her family. Surviving are her two daughters, Janet Lorch and her husband, Richard, Oceanside, CA and Donna Pearse and her husband, Robert, Detroit, MI; five grandchildren, Joe, Amy, Anne, Jill and Lynn; eight greatgrandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.
