MARY ANN LYONS PIPPEN Mary Ann Lyons Pippen died 2-14-18 at home, surrounded by her family as was her wish. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Gerry and Jack Lyons; brother, Johnny; sister, Jackie Mellon and other siblings, Paula Hellman-Lee and Jimmy Hellman. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Artie Pippen, her first and last love. Artie adored Mary Ann and his only wish was for her to be happy. And she was. Mary Ann is also survived by her daughters, Kelly Dawson (Del); Tracy Brennan (Tim); and two beloved grandchildren, Kimberly and Daniel; two nieces, Geralyn Schell Hodges (Cameron) and Bridget Schell (Dave Latty); and two nephews, Andy and Jon Mellon. Mary Ann leaves behind her sisters and partners in silliness, Barbara Schell (Greg), and Gigi Hellman. Mary Ann will probably best be remembered for her infectious laugh, and how she loved to laugh! She loved playing bridge and she loved her bridge-playing friends. She was an active member of Holy Spirit Church and participated in "Women of Spirit", bible study, and book club. Mary Ann will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family bids farewell with heavy hearts but also with the knowledge that she walks with God now. We suspect a card table has been set up in Heaven awaiting her arrival. Rosary begins at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Cure of Ars, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS; followed by visitation until the funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Father Richard Storey.
