Michael Fikes Obituary
Michael graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1973 with the degree of doctor of dental surgery. Dr. Fikes was a successful dentist for 28 years until his health forced him to retire from the profession and the patients that he loved at the Downtown Dental Center in Kansas City's Crossroads District. He will be missed by all.
Michael was born September 8, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Dick and Marie Fikes whom have predeceased him. He is survived by Cynthia Henson of the home they shared. Michael is also survived by his sister Janyce Marie Fikes of Little Rock, Arkansas. At Michael's request he has been cremated and no service is anticipated, however, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Roe Park Pavillion, 10400 Roe Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas 66207 thanks to Ascend Hospice. Please RSVP to Ascend Hospice at (913) 287-5678 if you are planning to attend.
