Morris Beard

Morris Beard, beloved father, husband and grandfather departed for heaven on Friday, Feb. 27 after a long life and a short illness. The lives he touched are too numerous to count. He was devoted to his family and to the ministry he loved and he brought laughter with him everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Services for Morris in Raytown, MO, will be Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel with visitation from 9 to 10am Tuesday at the chapel. Services for Morris in Plano, TX, will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, 18th Street, Plano TX, with visitation Friday, March 6, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dickey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ridgeview Cemetery in Allen, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy E. Beard (8/08/1918 - 12/10/2002) and eight brothers and sisters.
