Myron Bell Obituary

1917 - 2009 Myron McMillin Bell, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, 92, of Lee's Summit, Mo., passed and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2009. Myron was born July 16, 1917, in Kidder, Mo., the son of Loren and Octa (McMillin) Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Bell. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Kathryn; three daughters and husbands, Sharon and Don Hartley, Independence, Mo., Martha and Dean Phillips, Liberty, Mo., and Deanne and Richard Bronaugh, Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren, Laura Maxey (Scott), Aimee Griffin (Geoff), Derrick Hartley (Wendy), Todd Phillips (Jaime) and Elisabeth Bronaugh; and six great grandchildren, Ceanne, Camille, Chloe, and Cathryne Maxey, Cole Griffin, and Annie Hartley; and a brother, Gerald and wife Betty Bell. He was a farmer in the Kendall Chapel community, Hamilton, Mo., and was active in his community serving on several boards, including The Hamilton School Board, M.F.A., and F.H.A. boards. He would say his most significant service was to the Kendall Chapel Church, where he and his family worshipped for many years. After selling their farm, Myron and Kathryn moved to Cameron, Mo., living there many years. In July 2004, they moved to the Carlyle Retirement Community in Lee's Summit, so they could be closer to their family. Myron loved singing, gardening, his beloved wife of 67 years, his precious family and his Lord. He will be lovingly missed.
