November 21, 1943 - October 15, 2021
Humansville, Missouri - Nicholas M. Stipa, Jr. died peacefully at his home in Humansville, MO, after a brief struggle with cancer. Nick is survived by his wife Linda, sister Reita Fontaine and brother in law Chris Smalley. Nick will be sorely missed by his children, daughters, Shelley Bergstrom, husband Dallas, and Michelle Jacoby, husband Matt, and son Nicholas M. Stipa III and daughter Jennifer Moss, husband Kenny. Papa or Grandpa Nick will be remembered dearly by his ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Nick was a proud veteran of the US Navy and retired police officer from the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. Nicks celebration of life will be held at his home hosted by his family.

My heartfelt condolences to the Stipa family. My brother worked with Nick - out there on those "iron horses" and rode with Nick. My mom (CAP), brother (traffic), nephew (traffic), and myself (personnel/IA) were all with KCPD back then. Nick was an honorable man and officer. He will not be forgotten.
