There is not a memory from my childhood that does not include the loving presence of Mrs. Johannesmeyer. From the BEST peanut butter and fluff sandwiches to the game closet in her basement that she so patiently kept organized, she could do it all and with a bright Irish smile. She was loving, patient and kind...kind even when Karen and I found her Barbie Camper Christmas present hidden in the basement. Mrs. Johannesmeyer was not too happy that day but she handled it with kindness. She took me to my first St. Patrick's Day parade and showed this German girl how to celebrate like I was Irish. She had many talents including packing a car full of supplies for our frequent trips to Freeburg so strategically that I am sure she had the entire house packed in that station wagon and still left room for all of us kids. I can still hear her whistling as she made dinner, loaded the dishwasher and swept the kitchen floor each night. She was one of a kind and the world is certainly a brighter place because she lived in it. Today, we can celebrate the giving nature of Mrs. Johannesmeyer and celebrate her life...a life well lived. My prayers to Helen, Herman, Monica, Laura and Karen...what a wonderful mother you have...may her spirit live on through you for years to come. ~Kelly (Cook) Meyers

To Margaret& & Mike & Pat's family...sending love & prayers.
I have been remembering all the fun times when we were young & went to the Welsh's home for fun visits. I can remember thinking Pat was one of the prettiest girls I'd ever seen! ❤
