Patricia Wagner Obituary

Patricia Jayne (Ward) Wagner, age 82, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 10, 2005 at Claridge Court in Prairie Village. A "Celebration of Life" in honor of Pat will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 13 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Entombment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. While at the gathering of family and friends 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, please take a moment to visit the Enduring Memories booth to create a personal remembrance for the family that they will cherish for years to come. Memorial contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice or the American Lung Association. Pat was born April 2, 1923 in Peru, Indiana. On February 12, 1950, she married Maurice Wagner. Pat enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, reading, counted cross-stitch, and playing cards. She was an avid baseball fan, always loyal to her Cubs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel B. and Marion G. Ward; brothers Bob Ward, Paul Ward, and Jim Ward; sisters Peg Olson, and Bette Stobaugh. Pat is survived by her husband of 55 years, Maury, of the home; son, Rick and Pam Wagner of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Debi and Tom Apple of Olathe, Kansas; grandsons, Brent and Heather Wagner of Emporia, Kansas, Max and Sam Apple of Olathe, Kansas; great-grandchildren Addison and Riley Wagner of Emporia; sisters, Barbara and Milford Wagler of Peru, Indiana, Nancy Terra of Lynbrook, New York; brothers Jack Ward, Milford, Ohio, Dick Ward, Hialeah, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Somerset Health Center and Good Shepherd Hospice for making Pat's final days comfortable and peaceful. "Good-bye sweetie, we'll see you in Heaven." (Arr; D.W.
