Peter Mahomet Obituary

Peter Mahomet, 85, of Kansas City, KS, passed away October 5, 2003, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2003, at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Maple Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Mr. Mahomet was born February 8, 1918 in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong resident. He was an Auto Mechanic for various dealerships for 42 years retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church and was a Navy WWII veteran. Survivors include wife, Violet Mahomet of the home; sons, Michael V. Mahomet, Hatfield, PA, Richard P. Mahomet, Roeland Park, KS and John A. Mahomet, Hudson, NH; brother, Alexander Mahomet, Clayton, GA; sister, Anna Ketter, Tacoma, WA; three grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. I would like to express my sympathy to the Mahomet family during this difficult time. I went to school with Michael beginning at Riverview. I lived on Sumner Avenue. I think one of your family members lived across the street from us. Losing a parent is always traumatic and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
