Kansas City, Missouri - Peter J. Simone passed away June 12, 2025. Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church. On Wednesday, June 18, the Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. followed by Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, followed by entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum. My most sincere condolences on the loss of such an amazing man! I had the honor of knowing Pete & the joy of laughing to his many stories! His laughter was absolutely contagious! From the first time I met Pete at the Rock, September 1959, I was taken by his charismatic nature, always with a friendly word, usually very funny observations of high school life, whether it be humorous stories or embarrassing moments. He could tell a story like very few could, and he always weaved a moral into the story or back story. Great guy always. Our deepest sympathies to Jennifer and all the family.

I met Pete years ago. and one nite years ago I walked into red front hopped up in redbull my favorite energy drink. he is recognized this and poured me a shot maybe two of chopin vodka insisted I drink.. it all. and proceeded to give me the history of how it was made from. organic potatoes. he was incredibly kind, funny, protective.even tho I was really just a customer who quickly became a regular (to me at least) there as well as at gilhoulys my favorite neighborhood bar..
