PHOEBE FREY Obituary

Phoebe Lou (Osborn) Frey, 97, of Pleasant Hill, MO, passed away December 4, 2010 at her home with family. She had been ill with cancer. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, at Langsford Funereal Home. Burial will be in Floral Hills East Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association. Phoebe was born May 1, 1913, the first child of Charles and Cecil Osborn and Golda Mae (Jackson) Osborn on the family farm at Prairie Hollow near Camdenton, MO. She lived there until she was 18, then moved with her family to Camdenton where she worked at the Parish Grocery Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camdenton and later a member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown. She married Oscar Frey on May 17, 1945 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant child, her parents, and a sister. Survivors include her son, Larry Joe, and daughter-in-law, Peggy, of Lone Jack, MO, and three granddaughters: Amy, Emily, and Susan (Frey) Murphy and her husband, Garret.
