my grandmother lived in brookside and worked at your store. i still have her 25 year plaque! And you were kind enough to make it to her services. I and my sister both worked there while we went to school at st. teresa's. i have so

many fond memories of those times...

especially when we all pitched in

and helped with the cleanup after the fire..remember it was days before christmas and almost 30 years ago now! you always had a smile and a kind word. you were my

first job and my first boss and i learned so much from you!

you were truly a unique individual and the world is a sadder place now that you are gone. may the angels keep you ! i will miss visiting you.

Everyone in my family worked at The Dime Store at one time or another. I always made a point of stopping by whenever I was in town. Bob was a great guy and will be greatly missed.

What a devastating blow to read about Bob's death. I loved everything about the Dime Store - especially the 45 minute chats I had with Bob when all I really came in for was a roll of Scotch tape! He was a dear man, always so cheerful and helpful.

Never in all the 48 years I came to the store was Bob ever stumped by a request. He ALWAYS had whatever I wanted, He will be sorely missed.
