Later, he served as Director of Labor Relations for Quanta Services until retiring in 2017. Bob was deeply involved in the electrical industry's trade organizations and contributed to worker training, safety, and healthcare programs.

Bob was married to Marie Hutcheson in 1972, and together they had two children, Bob Jr. and Amy. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother Hank, and daughter Amy. He is survived by his wife, son, daughter-in-law Renée, son-in-law Arian Gimbutas, and grandchild Onyx.

Rob Doran IV

March 18, 2025

I Rob Doran wish to celebrate Robert Asher´s life. This gentleman started his IBEW Local 53 career as a lonely Operator :-)
This all happened when I was just a
"young pup" but can imagine the same fortitude then as when he carried on his Vice President position . Bob was a good man, good with people. A fine man. I will miss him.

My sister, Kathleen Murphy sends her condolences as well.
