Mindy, I am so sad to hear the news about Bob. He was a rare man - honest, straightforward and just a stand-up guy. We became friends in high school when a bunch of us would go together to get extra credit for attending city council meetings and would end up playing pool. Hi Bob - Happy Birthday!
You are probably wondering where I've been. I've been out-of-town because, as you know, it is our birthday week. I just got back tonight and got Mindy's message. I am heartbroken! You've been my friend for a long time...sharing high school homeroom, locker space, traffic court, laughs, fun and birthdays. Years later you took the time to teach me the antique business and you introduced me to Mindy...who you had the good sense to marry! You are one of genuinely good guys and there will be a hole in this world without you. I will think of you often, and you know I will miss you! Please forgive my absence. Had we gotten the message, Lloyd and I would have come to say goodbye in person. Just remember, you will have a place in my heart always and I will wave at you each August 27th and have an extra bite of cake in your honor!

Mindy - my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Know that God has a plan, and Bob is there in paradise now, loving his pain free existence. You two have many years of happy memories, and will be together before you know it....time and life goes by way too fast.
Bob loved you with all his heart, and will continue to watch over you.
We love you and will continue to light candles for you and Bob. If I can be of any assistance to you in the near future, please, do not hesitate to write or call me. If you need to talk, feel free to call. I lost my beloved first husband when he was only 31years old, and I still have memories of our times together that bring tears to my eyes. So even though they are gone, they really are NOT gone from our memories.

Why God took Bob from us we will never know. What we do know is Bob is in a better place, no pain or worries. He is in the arms of God and from what I have heard, he is probably making Him laugh also.

What a kind, caring and honestly nice human being Bob was! Michael and I also loved him for his bizarre sense of humor; oftentimes, our faces would ache for days afterward from nonstop laughing at our combined stream-of-consciousness lunacy.
We also shared a deep appreciation for Beatles music and would endlessly debate the finer points of their songs and of British invation tunes in general.
It was such a wonderful thing that Bob and Mindy found each other: They made such a great couple!
Our "Fob" will be missed very much, but will most definitely live forever in our hearts. Much love to you, Mindy.

Please know that although now the grief seems unbearable, as time passes there will be moments when you actually smile at something or feel joy at some little thing that let's some of the pain out of your heart.
