Robert Glade Obituary

Robert Dale Glade, age 71, passed away September 8, 2006, at his home in Olathe, Kan. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, at 10 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, Kan. Interment in Oaklawn Memorials Gardens, Olathe. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society. Robert was born on August 21, 1935, in Orient, Iowa to Jacob and Mary Glade. He served our country in the United States Army for over 20 years, and was also a member of the VFW Post #2993, and the Earl Collier American Legion Post #153. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Glade; his mother Mary Woodyard; his children, Pat Chadwick, Dale Glade, Erma Davis, Mike Glade, Robert Glade II, Amanda Saathoff, and Barbara Dickard; his sister Jan Brown Leanhart; his brother Dean Glade; 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended family, including Amanda Leach, Chris Leach, and Bob Messig. He was preceded in death by his daughter Deanna Summers, his sister Marlene Joan Glade, and his brothers John Daniel Glade and Clifford Eugene Purdy.
