I just learned of Bob’s death, and I feel deeply saddened at the news. He was my State Farm agent, and there was none better. I wanted to keep him when I moved to Wyoming in 2002, but State Farm rules did not allow it. I also enjoyed buying things from his Irish Crystal store. I was in the process of moving from Wyoming to Lincoln, Nebraska, when Bob died, so I missed the notice of it. My belated condolences to his family. Bob was one of a kind —- and the very best!

Mrs. Nestel and Family,
I am so sorry of your husband and my Insurance agent's death. Didn't even know until I got my insurance bill and saw another agent's name on it! Told my Mother and she told me. I am so sorry! He was my agent since the 1980's when I went out on my own, and my parents and the family's agent before that. Won't be the same. May Mr. Nestel rest in peace.

Mary, we have just learned of your father's passing. How schocked we were to hear of this news. We know how very close you were to your papa, and how terribly you must miss him. As a woman of faith your comfort must be in the joy of knowing you will see him again.

My heart weighs very heavy of the news I received in the mail today :(. I was just thinking about Bob 2 weeks ago wondering how he was doing ~ he was such a wonderful man and helped me through a most devastating part of my life , I will truly miss his happy voice and beautiful smile. May God bless him & all of the family ~ many hugs to all of you.

To all of you, I am so very sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He was always a great guy and a kind man to my mother and to me. He was so very proud of his children--I heard about each of you as you grew up (my office was across the hall).

Dear Mary, my sympathies on Bob's passing. I've done business with Bob since the early 80's when his mother and I lived in the same apartment complex. He had great integrity and ethics plus a wonderful sense of humor. I never have had to worry about any of my insurance needs. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have had my insurance with Bob since I turned 16 with my first car. That has now been 23 years. he was always so good to everyone he encountered in business. This will be a great loss to the community and to State Farm.

I wanted to add my condolences to Joanne and the rest of Bob's family. He was a dear friend and our insurance agent for many years and brought many a smile to our lives. I wish I could've attended the wake and funeral but I was just released from the hospital after major surgery and haven't been released to resume my daily duties yet and have not been released to drive at night yet. My heart is heavy with the loss of such a dear friend and my sympathy and prayers are with the entire family. Godspeed Bob.

Bob and I were close friends in high school. We frequently studied together and at one time took a chemistry test, recorded identical answers including the misspelling of the word "potash". Since we sat next to each other, Mr. Murdock was sure we cheated. When confronted, we immediately showed him the set of notes we studied from including the misspelling. He reluctantly accepted our story, Bob and I were off the hook.
Having known Bob all these years has left a warm friendship that keeps his spirit with us. I will be out of town and regret not being able to attend Bob's funeral.

The Murphy family is lifting you all in prayer at this time. Bob gave two of our daughters thier first real job at the Irish Crystal Company. I can still hear him coming out of his office when I stopped by the agency asking, "How is business going?". He was a mentor and encourager to me at the chamber. Bob touched so many lives and he will truly be missed.

Nestle family - I know you feel a huge hole in your heart right now. Sometimes it feels difficult to take that next breath and move on. Bob was a wonderful man. The times I would stop by the house he would always have a smile for me. I feel your loss and have been and will continue to pray for you. Our family is counted among the first 150 of Bob's insureds, which has grown to include 3 generations. I had the opportunity to work for him many years ago - and quickly learned that he was the real deal. He wasn't just selling insurance to make a dime, he truly cared about people. His bright green sport coat, many jokes and love of bingo games always brought a smile. Bob was gem, and we'll miss him very much.

I have many great memories of Bob. He was always so positive and enjoyed life to the fullest. He never took no for an answer and he never ever gave up. Bob never met a stranger and would do anything for anybody who needed it. He will be greatly missed.
