In speaking with my mother Jean Whitington and Bob´s name came up Then we discovered his recent passing
Know that you never die when your name is remembered by those you´ve touched.
My mother Jean was Bob´s partner on his original catering company and Cutelli`s deli on 47th St. I spent a couple of years working with them myself
Bob and Jean work together for many many years. They worked hard and played hard. He was a generous gracious person and will be missed by many. Peace be with him and those who loved him.

I was so honored to finally meet Bob when he moved to STL, through his cousins, Wil and Theresia. He, Theresia, my son and myself shared the same birthday and celebrated that connection. Even though I don't live in STL, we communicated by sending each other cards for every occasion, and I will treasure that always. The family gatherings allowed me to listen to his stories about his life, and what a great storyteller he was. I am so blessed to have had this wonderful man in my life. I wish I could be physically present for his celebration but am thankful for the Zoom option. Rest peacefully Bob. You are in my heart forever,

Uncle Bobby, I remember him working as manager for Cheshire Inn Restaurant for many years before making his move to Kansas City where he would open his own Salsman Deli. He was also known to cater events both small and large. Some of my fondest memories with Uncle Bobby were with him and Uncle Johnny when the extended family used to gather at their home every Christmas holiday during the evening. Their home even won best decorated home in Brentwood one year. Uncle Bobby and l would go on to further our relationship throughout the years through correspondence and phone calls. Uncle Bobby took a great interest in my Genealogy-research of the "Salsman" lineage and possible connection to Native American heritage. Uncle Bobby wanted me to find that connection. He kept telling me. "Find the connection so the government can send us a check." Well that didn't happen. I will miss him. He was a good cook. I love you Uncle Bobby

Bob and Richard were dear friends of my Aunt-Kaye L. White. She owned Whitey’s Rockhill Bar on 48th in Kansas City. For awhile they lived nearby and visited frequently. Through the years Bob and Richard have been so kind to her and me. Bob often would share his life journey noting the struggles and successes. He is a very special friend.

I worked for him for 15 years . He and richard were like family to me . Because of him i think i may have seen the inside of most of the fanciest homes in kansas city . I learned a lot from him in those 15 years . May he rest in peace . Ill cherish the memories and all the laughs . He taught me how to turn a disaster into a triumph . It was a great pleasure knowing him . What a party they are having right now . Rip
