Bob (Sarge) was one of the funniest people I served with in the Army. A great NCO, who could also give advice to young knuckleheads like me without us realizing it, but also gave us a role model of how to be a good leader. I’m very sorry I never got to see him after I left Dichtelbach.

Bob was our dear friend, he was funny, smart and kind. We hadn’t see him in a while but him and Karin are and always be in our heart. I’m proud to call him my friend. A veteran, Dad, husband, loved Jesus. RIP❤

My condolences to the family. I know the entire D 2/1 group was shocked by Bob’s passing. While we have lost a few over the years, this one affected me especially hard. Bob was one of the good ones!!!
Godspeed

I served under Bob in Dichtelbach. I was 18. He taught me so many things but most of all he taught me to enjoy life. My condolences to Karin and his family.
RIP Sarge. You made a bigger impact on me than anyone can ever know

OMG! I'm so sorry for the family's loss. I had the very distinct pleasure of working side by side with Bob at CCA from 2000 thru 2002. I was shocked to hear of his passing as much as I was shocked to hear he worked at NFM. I too work there in the Furniture Shop however I've been on leave for an injury since 7/23/20. God i wish I knew he was there, would've been so great to catch up with him. He was an awesome guy to work with. A great loss to humanity but heaven gained another angel. Super, sir you will be greatly missed sir!

I worked with Robert at the DES/PMO. He was always a pleasure to work with, and a dear friend. You may be at peace. He is with the Supreme Commander.

Bob was my superviser at work and a very good friend . He invited me to his daughter's wedding and reception as well as his son's reception so I know he thought of me more like family than a cowoker or subordinate. When I got down or was having a bad day he always had something funny to say to make me laugh or smile. I'm gonna miss him.
