Roberta E. (Withers) John, 91, of Independence, MO, died Monday, March 31, 2003, at Monterey Park Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. at the same location and with burial at the Maple Hill Cemetery. Roberta was born May 11, 1911, in Marionsville, MO. She was a member of the Metropolitan Ave. United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Roberta is survived by her son, John Withers and wife, Mary, of Independence, MO; granddaughter, Wendy Williams and husband, Dave; grandson, Johnny Withers; great-grandson, Johnathan Williams; and sister, Katy Harris.
