ROBIN MARSH Obituary

1954-2015 Robin William Marsh, 60, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015. A diabetic since age nine, he fought a valiant fight against the disease and its complications. It was an ongoing battle, especially the past four years. A native of Kansas City, Robin was born to Jack W. Marsh and Mona (Potter) Marsh on October 25, 1954. Robin grew up in Overland Park, attending Overland Park grade school, Broadmoor Junior High, and Shawnee Mission West High School. He presently lived in south Kansas City. He leaves his wife of 19 years, Donna, of the home; his father, Jack (Nita), Kansas City, KS; his mother, Mona (Joe Gray) of Kansas City; his sisters, Kim (Carl) Zebuhr and Christy Marsh, both of Belton; three stepdaughters, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his younger sister, Pamela, his grandparents, Kenneth and Gladys (Cable) Potter, and grandmother Bessie (Marsh) Davis. Robin loved fishing, especially with his late Grandpa Potter. An avid reader, he probably read every science fiction book ever written and watched every SciFi movie/DVD he could find. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, the National Kidney Foundation, or a charity of your choice. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and support staff at North Kansas City Hospital who helped make Robin comfortable and ready for this final passage. Robin, we know you were tired and ready to leave us. You were loved and will be missed by all your family and friends. Charter Funerals, 816-921-5555

I worked with Robin for many years at Uni-Guard Security. He was truly a good person. I had not seen him in many years and then ran into him at his job at True Value. It was like no time has passed. Heaven is getting a good guy. I am sorry to see him leave but happy that he is no longer burdened by illness. I saw him a couple of months ago and could see in his eyes that he was tired. May the lord look over his family and provide them with the strength and support and may he rest in peace
