Ruth Hartung Obituary

Ruth F. Hartung, 87, of Kansas City, Kansas, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 20, at the Highland Park Funeral Home & Crematory; burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Hartung was born December 23, 1919, in Junction City, Kan., and was a member of the Fellowship of Love Church in Kansas City, Kan. She was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Belknap, in 2001. She is survived by two brothers, Howard Richard Porter and wife Dorothy, and Joe Porter and wife Joann; one sister, Virginia Hatley and husband Tom; one daughter, Carolyn O'Bryan and husband Patrick; one son, Frank Rounds and wife Patricia; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
