SARAH RAY Obituary

SARAH J. RAY Sarah Evans Ray (Sarah Jane) died peacefully surrounded by family at Liberty Hospital on March 30, 2018 at the age of 52. Sarah was a two-time survivor of cancer and was diagnosed terminally ill with COPD. Sarah is survived by her husband, John Ray, of Excelsior Springs, MO. She was the loving mother to her three living children, John II, Jessica and Jennifer Ray, all of Excelsior Springs, MO. She was the loving Nanna to her five grandchildren: Dillon Allen, Haylee Ray, Candice Allen, Addison Ray, and Shad Stanich II. Sarah has 6 living siblings; Dennis Evans, Fred Evans, Leta Ginnings, Leota Davolt, Peggy Gan, and Kathy McNelly, and many nieces and nephews. Sarah was preceded in death by her infant daughter Candice Marie Evans Ray, mother; Lola M. Evans, father; Robert M. Evans, sister; Ruth Ann Evans, and niece; Angie Moon. Sarah was born on November 21, 1965 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from William Chrisman in 1984. She was married to her high school sweetheart for 31 years. They resided in Excelsior Springs and raised three children. Sarah was an animal lover and enjoyed spending the majority of her time spoiling her grandbabies. Sarah had a huge heart and had the personality of a firecracker. A memorial visitation will be 12PM-1PM, Friday, April 6 at Park Lawn, 8251 Hillcrest Rd.; 1PM graveside service to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sarah's life.
