Sidney Eisenfeld Obituary
April 14, 1936 - September 29, 2025
Overland Park, Kansas - Sidney Eisenfeld, 89, of Overland Park, KS, formerly Tucson AZ, passed away on September 29, 2025 surrounded by family.
Sid was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1936. He earned an undergraduate and Master's degrees in Education from The University of Arizona. He was an educator in the Tucson Unified School District for 32 years and later worked in their Technology Department after retirement.
He loved his family immensely and took great pride in his children and all of his grandchildren. He loved life and had a positive impact on everyone he met. He lived with courage and bravery as he fought through his illnesses. His impact was far and wide.
Sidney is survived by his wife Marylin Eisenfeld; daughters, Essie Davis (Pat) and Devra Eisenfeld-Smith (Steve); daughter-in-law, Christine Eisenfeld; brother Jacob Eisenfeld; grandchildren, Kaitlin Eisenfeld, Tyler Eisenfeld, Shea Smith, Jillian Smith, and Colin Davis; and great grandson, Scott Eisenfeld. He is preceded in death by his son, Scott Eisenfeld and granddaughter Jacqueline Davis.
Funeral service will be held graveside at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, Tucson, AZ on October 6 at 8:30 a.m. Shiva will be held at the home of Essie and Pat Davis in Overland Park on October 12 at 3 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Kansas City or Children's Mercy, Kansas City.

Sid was a great colleague to have on our Ed Tech team. He was kind, patient and a wonderful teacher. Always ready to help out. I'm glad to have known him.

What a great loss to all who knew him. Sid was a treasure. He always had a good word to say and even a joke sometimes. He loved his family so much and so many of us at Mkor Hayim knew how personable and respectful he was. He will be sorely missed...

I am so sorry to hear of Sid's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Sid and Marilyn at our shared apartment complex in Overland Park. For the last year plus I took Sid to our Friday meetings of ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) up until just a few weeks ago. Even though Sid was having health problems, he always had a good disposition and enjoyed visiting with other members. I will miss him. Marilyn you have my wife's and my deepest sympathy. If there is anything we can do to help you, please let us know.

Good, good memories from Whitmore Elementary... working with Sid on setting up the first computer lab and as a parent with Sid teaching my son 5th grade.
