TERRI GIANESSI Obituary

Terri Jo Gianessi, 58, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. She was born May 23, 1958, in North Kansas City, Mo., to Roy Joseph and Audrey Genelle (Kahler) Bowers. On Aug. 17, 1996, she married Michael Leo Gianessi, on the Elk River near Pineville, Mo. Right after the wedding they had the same minister baptize them in the river. She and Michael loved spending time together cooking delicious dinners for their family. She loved being on the water, whether it was on the ocean or on a boat at the lake. She cherished her time as a mother to her daughters and would spend as much time with them as she could. She also had a love for aviation. She worked at TWA and American Airlines for many years. If there was a plane in the sky, her eyes were on it. Terri is survived by her husband Michael, of the home, three daughters, Te'Audra Sanders (Alex) of Kansas City, McKenna Sanders of Kansas City, Jaime (Rob) Axtell of Kansas City. Also surviving are nieces, Erin Hale and Devin (D.D.) Ibrahimi, and nephew, Preston (P.J.) Bowers. Terri was preceded in death by both her parents. Visitation at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, with service following at 2 p.m. at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy. & Shoal Creek) Kansas City. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
