Terry Brosnihan Obituary

Terry (Annen) Brosnihan
July 7, 1948 - April 2, 2023
Lee's Summit, Missouri - We are sad to announce the passing of Terry (Annen) Brosnihan, a longtime resident of Lee's Summit, MO. She died at age 74 on April 2, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was very loved and will be missed terribly.
Terry was born in Northwood, ND, on July 7, 1948, to Donald and Virginia (Natland) Annen, the third of six children. The Annen family moved to Minnesota where Terry lived out her childhood until she graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault, MN in 1966.
In 1969, Terry married her former husband, Kevin Brosnihan, in Amherst, MA. They had one daughter, Bridget. They lived in Faribault, MN for several years, eventually moving to Clinton, MO in 1977 to follow the family business, Country Kitchen.
Terry moved to Warrensburg in 1991 where she attended UCM and discovered her passion for photography; subsequently relocating to Lee's Summit to be closer to family. Terry had a talent for decorating and was known as an avid reader. She loved being with family and enjoyed nature, dogs, camping, swimming, boating, and dining out. We will greatly miss our family dinners with Terry.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents Virginia and Donald Annen and is survived by her daughter Bridget (Joe) Langle; grandchildren, Haley and Ethan; siblings Diana Ziesemer, Ronald (Diane) Annen, Suzin Annen, Thomas (Cheryl) Annen, and Cynthia (Richard) Maloney; Aunt Vivian Annen; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
To honor Terry's memory, we are holding a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 16, 2023, 1:00 PM, in the Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel at Powell Gardens, with a reception following in the Terrace Room. Powell Gardens address is 1609 NW US Hwy 50, Kingsville, MO 64061. We invite all family and friends to attend and remember her wonderful life.

Terry was our next door neighbor for a long times. We shared lots of fun at our gatherings during holidays. Terry´s quiet, solid demeanor brought a balance to the rollicking great times we had over the years. Her kind, gentle presence was very comforting in hard situations. We send our our thoughts and condolences to her family.

I have many happy memories spent with Terry in Brainerd. We only saw each other a few times when she lived in Faribault. My sympathy to her daughter and family and to the rest of her brothers and sisters.

TERRY WAS A CARING PERSON WHO HELPED ME MANY TIMES IN MY LIFE. SHE TAUGHT ME TO PUT ON MAKEUP AND ENJOY TRUE CRIME BOOKS AND TV SHOWS WHICH I CONTINUE TODAY. SHE ALSO GOT ME INTO GOSSIP MAGAZINES.
