Michael - You came to mind today after many years of my being out of touch. I googled your name only to find the announcement of Tom's death. I am so sorry to hear of your loss! I remember when you met Tom and we had all those conversations about the wonderful man you'd found. My heart goes out to you, Christian and Carson during this time and I send you my love.

Our condolences for your loss. We were shocked and saddened to hear and our thoughts are with you during this holiday season and beyond. While it has been a couple of years since we saw you, we often have thought about you and always appreciated the warm welcome that was given to us when we moved to Kansas City and met through MAFA.

Dear Michael, Christian and Carson,
Our hearts go out to each of you. We thought so highly of Tom. We always appreciated how welcome he made us feel at the MAFA gatherings over the years. Tom would always greet us with a big smile and ask how we were doing. His kindness will always be remembered.

Michael, Christian, and Carson,
I will truly miss Tom and his gregarious outlook on life. We worked together at the FDIC in 2001 and 2002. Although I only knew him a short time, he always generated positive energy that seemed to rub off on everyone around him. When I had my son in 2002, he always had little tips that helped me care for my new-born. I will always be immensely grateful that I had the opportunity to meet and know him.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this extremely difficult time. May fond memories of Tom help lessen the pain.

Dear Michael, Christian, and Carson: I just learned of Tom's passing, and I am stunned. How could someone with that big smile and wonderful spirit have physically left us? During my tenure at the FDIC, l remember how we often laughed about whether he preferred to be called 'Tom" or "Steve." Finally, he said, "Just call me both." And from that point on, I called him "Tom/Steve."
I will miss his gentle soul and generous heart.

Since moving to KS just a few months ago, and to move just a few doors down from you, we were lucky enough to have met & laughed with Tom. I am deeply saddened by Tom's passing. I worked with him on the FDIC Field Supervisor's Council and enjoyed his sunny disposition and positive outlook. He frequently spoke of his family activities with camping and four wheelling etc. I hope your grief is quickly replaced by fond memories. I know I will recall him warmly.

Michael,Christian and Carson, Tom was a wonderful co-worker and loving friend. He had a way of making me see humor at times when I wanted to scream, and offered his support when he could see I needed it. I will truly miss him.

I am so truly sorry for your loss. Tom and I worked together when he first arrived in Kansas City. He was so supportive and enthusiastic when my granddaughter Remi was born and since she and Christian are the same age we compared "notes" constantly. Although Tom and I did not see each other as much in recent years I will always consider him a dear friend. Michael, Christian and Carson you now have your own personal guardian angel who is smiling down as he watches over you.

Tom was my cousin and we didn't get to see each other often. We did converse by email frequently and I was always touched at how much he loved his boys. I know they will truly miss him in their lives. I was shocked to hear of his passing.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Steve and I crossed paths many times during our careers at FDIC. He trained me as a young examiner in the Norcross Field Office. I will forever remember his dedication to always doing a great job, teaching others, and making others laugh and smile. He always had such loving, positive things to say about his family. I remember years ago when Steve invited me to go to lunch with him one day, and he spent time shopping for his mom's Christmas gift. I could tell he really wanted to pick just the right gift for his mom.
Steve will be greatly missed by the many friends he made at FDIC. He made the most of every moment, made family a priority, achieved many personal goals, and made a positive impact on the lives of others. It was a pleasure to have worked with him and to have been his friend. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and help you find peace.

I met Tom 12 years ago in Washington DC. Tom had a great sense of humor and I quickly grew to love his sharp wit. After moving to Kansas City, Tom and I had dinner together several times. I remember one evening listening to Tom talk about this guy he was dating...Michael. It was nice to see Tom so happy. Soon after starting their life together, Tom and Michael started their quest to add Christian and Carson to the family. Their sons brought Tom great joy and he took to fatherhood like a duck to water. Family was at the top of Tom's priority list.
