Tom was a great man and influenced so many lives, as only a coach and father could. What more could ask of a life well lived? He will be sorely missed. God bless.

Fran, Michelle, Jim & families,
Words can not begin to convey how saddened we are. Tom was so dear to my dad and I am so grateful we got together at the Pomme so many times. I have never met anyone so full of life and that spirit obviously passed on to the entire family!! All of you hold such a special place in my heart and our prayers and thoughts are with you. Love, Tammy

Dear Frannie and family. Our young families have shared so many wonderful camping and fishing stories when we lived in Missouri. As young parents, teachers and coaches we had it all..wonderful lives and friendships, always love for each other. Later, when we returned to Missouri, our unforgettable Western trip. How about those big nights out at the Kona Kai restaurant saving the paper umbrellas for Cary and Michelle! One memory leads to another. We miss Tom. Love and hugs Dee Dee

I would like to send my Blessings to the family. I owe my life to Coach Coyle! My College Career and my professional career. Lesson learn in class and most especially on the track. A day did not go by that Coach Coyle's name or his little bits of wisdom did not come out. He was my guiding light. That's why I enrolled and graduated from PSU.. He has been with me my entire life. My God Bless Coach..... I'm sure he has his bullhorn. Mike Scronce Ruskin Class 71 PSU 78

Dear Mrs. Coyle- May God grant you peace at this difficult time. Mr. Coyle always took the time to share his knowledge of sports with all of us kids in the old Park Hills neighborhood. I have fond memories of playing all kinds of games with your son John, Bobby Corder and Gordon Scott. Mr. Coyle was always there to give us pointers. God Bless you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of Coach Coyle's passing. I was in one of his classes at Center in the 70's and he was such a great influence on me. All these (almost 40!) years later, when an setting an online password and the challenge question asks for my favorite teacher - my answer is COYLE! I will, as Andrea mentioned, always remember his smiling face and I can hear his raspy voice greeting everyone in the halls and making them come out of their shell. A very positive influence who really did his best and succeeded at truly connecting with his students. Wish I could have told him in person. I am very sorry for your loss.

Fran, You probably won't remember me but I was a very close friend of Tom's from the time I first went to Camp St. Maur in Atchison, KS about 1947 where I first met Tom until we graduated from Ward in 1956. Then we went different directions and our paths only crossed once when we were
at a Mass (Easter?) at St/ John's in KCK. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Coach Coyle's family-I have recalled many times the great and fond memories of running track at Ruskin and Longview under Coach Coyle. We even ran as team mates after high school at some KC relays. What a great person and coach. My prayers go out to you. May you treasure your memories and remember all of the lives that Coach Coyle impacted. Kenny Hunt - Ruskin '72

Just wanted to send all good thoughts to the family of coach Coyle. He was a big influence on me when I ran track for Ruskin high school back in the late 60s. He always made it fun for the guys, and he more importantly helped shape us and led us in the right direction. Can still see his smile after all these years, and smell the track on weekday afternoons. God bless you Coach.

So very sorry to hear the news of Coach Coyle's passing. He was known and loved by many. He was always kind to everyone at Center Senior High School. He always stood outside his door while classes were changing, with a big smile on his face and greeting everyone that passed by. He also was so kind to come to our Girl Scout meeting (with Fran by his side, daughter Michelle and grand daughter Andrea Lippert) and played his guitar when the girls needed to earn a music patch. Coach, you will never be forgotten!

With heart felt condolences. Coach Coyle taught my Health class at Ruskin in 1971. I remember him as a fun and lively teacher. His love of teaching and coaching exemplified a wonderful individual. I still recall his class and his stories. His memory is one of a teacher who cared for his students, a rare professional. May the love of God grant you comfort and peace.
