Vernon Kuehn Obituary

Vernon B. Kuehn, age 82 of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at the Meadowbrook Nursing Facility in Gardner. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Edgerton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., (one hour prior to services) at Wilson's Funeral Home in Wellsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Wilson's, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092. Vernon B. Kuehn was born May 12, 1923 in Washington County, Kansas, the son of Herman and Dora (Tiemeyer) Kuehn. Vernon had been in the Wellsville area since 1965 and was a heavy equipment operator and member of the Hoistings and Portable Engineers Local 101. In his later years, he also did custom combining. Vernon served his country in the United States Army and was honorable discharged in 1945. Vernon is survived by his significant other, Dorinda Otto and her sons, Myrick and Branden of Wellsville; brothers, Ruben Kuehn of KCK and Neal Kuehn of Harveyville, KS; a sister, Carolyn Hummer of Topeka; niece Linda Harrison of Wellsville; 3 children, several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Delmer. (Arr: Wilson's Funeral Home Wellsville, KS 785-883-2110)
