Lee's Summit, Missouri - Virignia Ruth Pritzel, age 88, died Sept. 29, 2021 in Lee's Summit, MO.
Virginia was born Sept. 24, 1933 in rural Benton County, MO to James Adrian and Matilda B. Shaffar, who preceded her in death.
She attended high school in Cole Camp, MO and Business College in Kansas City, MO. Virginia worked as an executive secretary at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co.
On June 13, 1953 she married Arnold H. Pritzel at Mount Hulda Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, MO and moved to South Kansas City where she lived until her death.
She is survived by her brother, James Lee Shaffar (Dianna) of Eads, TN, and four children: Kent Pritzel of K.C., MO, Robin Pritzel (Melinda) of Olathe, KS, Joy Krumm (Jeff) of Holt's Summit, MO, Scott Pritzel (Marla) of Maryville, MO and seven grandchildren: Keith Pritzel, Collin Pritzel, Amber Krumm-Musgrove, April Krumm, Alec Krumm, Madilyn Pritzel and Clay Pritzel.
A visitation will be held from 10 – 11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM, on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Peace Lutheran Church, 8240 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138. Burial will follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 8240 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138.
