Originally from Mason, Michigan he graduated from Mason High School Class of '63, then served in the U.S. Army before completing his degree at Michigan State University, prior to his move to Ann Arbor in 1975.
A pillar of the local business community, Roger was a longtime realtor and rental property proprietor, dedicated to serving the Michigan housing market for decades.
A man of steadfast faith, he was a devoted member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor.
Roger is the beloved husband of Susan J. Pritzel. He is also survived by his two sons, Matthew (Murray) Pritzel of St. Louis and Daniel (Julie) Pritzel of Ann Arbor; and five cherished grandchildren: William, Reid, Charlotte, Eliza, and Heidi.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Robinson of Eugene, OR.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7474 Scio Church Road, Ann Arbor. The Rev. Paul Jansen will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the church beginning at 12:30 pm. A private family interment will follow at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
