Keith William Ingalls Jr.

INGALLS, Keith William, age 92. Born August 19, 1933 and passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.

Keith was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor; anyone who met him loved him. A man of deep and unwavering faith, he devoted many years of his life in service to his church and his community. Throughout his career, he worked as a CAD operator and layout inspector, building a reputation for doing things the right way. He was proud of his work and of his longtime membership in the United Auto Workers.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Henrietta "Henri" Knapp; his loving parents, Keith and Virginia Ingalls; and his dear brother, Charles Ingalls, whom he loved deeply and was always proud to call his little brother.

Keith met Henrietta and knew almost immediately that she was the one. After just six months, they were married, beginning a beautiful 51-year love story built on partnership, faith, and unwavering commitment to one another.

Keith is survived by his cherished and devoted daughter, Karen (Dennis) Clifton; his proud grandson, Cole (Stephanie) Clifton; and his great-grandchildren, Cassian and Georgiana. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Keith treasured every moment he could spend with his family, and he especially cherished the time he shared with his grandson Cole. Over the years, they bonded through their shared love of sports, creating lasting memories together, and he took immense pride in watching Cole grow and compete throughout the years, rarely missing a chance to cheer him on. His own time attending Michigan State University remained a point of pride for him, as he was a proud supporter of the Spartans.

Keith also had a remarkable social spirit. Even into his final days, his calendar was fuller than most, whether heading to the shooting range, meeting friends at the bar, or catching up with the staff at his favorite breakfast spot, where he was a familiar and well-loved regular. He could walk into any room and strike up a conversation with ease, often leaving with a new friend and making people feel like they had known him for years.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 3:00–8:00 p.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, 36900 Schoenherr Road at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Rd), Sterling Heights. A Rosary service will be held Sunday evening at 6pm. A funeral Mass will take place Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 E 14 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48312, with in-state beginning 30 minutes prior to the Mass at 10:30am.
