DR. WADE V. "DOC" ROBINETT

1930 - 2015

Dr. Wade V. "Doc" Robinett, 85, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Brumley, Mo. He was in the United States Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Park College with an Engineering Degree. He then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned his medical degree. He became a Doctor of Otolaryngology and a Head and Neck Surgeon who was highly regarded in and around the Kansas City area. He was married in 1952 to Patricia M. Dackson and they had four children. He earned the rank of Captain in the Air Force Reserves Medical Corps in 1964. He had a profound love of flying and was an accomplished pilot and had a great passion for big game hunting. He is survived by his sister, Ellen Robinett; three daughters, Margaret Christine Robinett, D.C., Sandra Robinett and Michelle D. Robinett- Casamassina; and grandchild, Abigail B. Casamassina. He was preceded in death by son, Mark S. Robinett; six brothers and two sisters. Family will receive friends 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Millard- Rekus Family Funeral Chapel, Eldon, Mo., with a memorial service at 12 p.m. directly following the visitation.
