Walter was a good friend at school. After many years, I saw him at a class reunion and he was still the same friend as always. Prayers to all.

I met Walt when we were both at the Chiefs and we became friends on a personal level, respected colleagues on a pro level. We both had Cordobas and I showed Walt how to fix the electric windows--the motors were always burning up. We had some very deep conversations about everything; not just football but life, love, happiness, etc. He was a prince of a man. I hope I find out where/when the celebration of life event will be.

Walt and Jane were the kindness neighbors I ever had. He was a gentle soul and always had the ugliest dog in the neighborhood. My prayers go out to Carla and Mark and all of the family. RIP Walt.

I always remember Walt's words of comfort to me when he came upon me at my desk at training camp in Fredonia and saw how upset I was about my very sick dog. AS busy as he was with his coaching, he took the time to offer perspective on my pet's situation which I have thought about in all the years to come. Just a wonderful, warm man with a heart as big as his stature. proud to have known him and Jane.

Best neighbor ever!! Will never forget some hilarious memories, while living next door. Walt, would always help out with any project, and it helped that he could still bench 400 lbs. Yet, he was such a softy, he drew an amazing picture of my two year old daughter, with the Easter bunny. He was, without a doubt, one of a kind!!!

Walt was one of the kindest people I have ever known. I often stopped my evening walk through the neighborhood to join him in a glass of wine and swap stories. He will always remain in my memories for his warm smile and generous nature. I pray he and Jane are once more united.
