I thought of Dr. Davies on Saturday as Rosedale hosted the Inaugural Hall of Fame ceremony. He would have so appreciated the memories of RHS and loved the Barry came to watch. I continue to have many fond memories of working with Dr. Davies. And loved that he always called me, "that little Hicks girl..".

I lived across the street from the Davies for 12 years. I did not talk to them much but I always looked out my window overlooking their home and watched out for them. Mr. Davies seemed to be a strong independent determined person. I was able to help him a couple times in those years. I remember one time Mr. Davies fell by his mailbox on a cold very snowy day and I ran over to help him and I said you should not be outside in this weather and he said "I never said I was the smartest person". His response always stuck with me because I see myself like him in the future. Rest in Peace. John Budd. KCK.

My sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Davies. Felt lucky to know your father as I was a Teacher in USD#500 for 34 years. He was a fair and great Administrator, who I respected greatly.May he rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers for you on your loss.

Having known Dr. Davies first as a 'dad in the neighborhood', it was an honor to work with him in KCKPS. He was such a brilliant man, having and holding more knowledge than any of us would ever hope to acquire. He laughed at the Halloween antics 'played' in his office, but always had a good word for us. Such a grand legacy he leaves....hugs, much love and sympathy to each of you,.
