December 7, 2010

My name is John Hylas Smith. Dr. Jones befriended me when I attended McPherson College. He showed me an appreciation for the international community and the finer things in life. When I was short on funds while attending college, Dr. Jones employed me as a gardener and handyman. He was kind, intelligent, and tolerant of all peoples. After I married and returned to McPherson with my wife, Christina, he opened his home to the both of us. Thankfully I was able to stop by, on many of my travels, and visit with Doc Jones from time to time. He was the finest of men and I will surely miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.
